Knowing and being fully known

Regarding the previous post, I suppose that Augustine/Aquinas must have been talking about 1 Corinthians 13:12:

Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

I've always enjoyed "seeing" how Paul speaks to and knows his audience. Here is another example.
Corinth was well known for its bronze mirrors.Famous for them actually. Therefore the Corinthians would have been drawn to Paul’s reflection illustration. The perfection and imperfection mentioned in verse 10 are likened to the contrasting images one would see in a bronze mirror.

"Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is."

(1 John 3:2 )
